Veteran actor-director Amol Palekar recently approached the NFAI (National Film Archive of India) with the proposal of preserving five of his films with the institution. Confirming the development, Prakash Magdum, director of NFAI, shared, “Amol Palekar has approached us for the preservation of some of his recent films including Anahat (2003, Marathi), And Once Again (2010, Hindi and English), Dhoosar (2011, Marathi), Quest (2006, English) and Dhyaas Parva (2001, Hindi and Marathi).
The formalities for it will be completed soon.”

Saying how it is his responsibility to preserve his films, Palekar said, “
NFAI is an important institution that helps in preserving our culture and heritage. I have approached them as I consider it my duty to do my bit in the endeavour.”
